This painting depicts designs assoicated with the site Winparku in Western Australia. The various shapes in this work depict the geographical features of this site gathering the small seeds known as wangunu or woollybutt, from the perennial grass Eragrostis eripoda. The husks are removed and the seeds ground into flour, water added and the paste cooked in hot coals and ashes. The resultant loaves can be stored for considerable periods.
