This site depicted in this painting is Wingantjirri far to the south west of Kintore Community. In mythological times the Tingari men visited the site. These men travelled vast distances for the purpose of instructing the post-initiatory men in the higher education which Aboriginal men of the region umdergo. The teachings are conveyed in song cycles for which the designs are complementary mnemonics.
