Fabian Miller - Artist
Miller is an Aboriginal artist who began attending Bindi’s Digital Arts Program in 2022 where his passion for the boundless potential of digital drawing was ignited. Miller was quick to form a strong abstract visual language, using gestural motion, texture, and colour to breathe life-force into the artworks on his pixel canvases.
Over the two-year period he has developed a strong abstract visual language through his artistic sensitivities. He has explored animation, digital painting, and multimedia by pairing his art with found images.
Prolific and spiritually-charged, Miller’s practice has mostly explored the abstract where his mark-making is decisive and deliberate. Miller faces challenges other artists don’t, which is perhaps his gift. He is non-verbal and wheelchair-bound and uses a toggle attached to Procreate software on his Ipad.
Miller communicates via a digital device. He understands everything going on around him, and those who know him well understand much of what he wants to communicate through his expressions.
Fabian Miller has been involved in various art projects within Mparntwe/Alice Springs for many years. In 2023, he was the first recipient of the Central Desert Digital Art Prize.
Bay Gallery Home is excited to be his first gallery representation.
